Yesterday Volvo unveiled the sleek 2019 Volvo V60 wagon, but it did not reveal a new high-riding V60 Cross Country. Well the good news is that a new V60 Cross Country is coming, but we just don’t know when.
Volvo boss Lex Kerssemakers confirmed to Roadshow that a new V60 Cross Country is in the works. Just like the V90 Cross Country, the Cross Country version of the V60 adds a slightly higher ride height and body cladding.
“Is it huge volumes? No,” Kerssemakers stated. “It’s part of our heritage so we need to continue it.”
The Cross Country name originally appeared back in 1998 with the release of the V70 Cross Country. Since then Volvo has released Cross Country versions of the V60 and V90 models and even the S60 Cross Country sedan.
Volvo also confirmed yesterday that the next-generation 2019 S60 sedan will debut this summer.
