The 2022 Volkswagen ID.4 AWD is slated to arrive in the fourth quarter of this year and now VW has announced the pricing details. The ID.4 AWD Pro starts at $44,870, including destination, which makes it the lowest priced all-wheel drive EV currently available.
The ID.4 AWD features two electric motors. The rear electric motor generates 201 horsepower and 228 pound-feet of torque, while the front motor generates 107 horsepower and 119 pound-feet of torque. Together, the two motors generate a combined 295 horsepower.
In normal driving conditions the rear motor powers the ID.4, while the front motor is only engaged when extra traction is needed. The ID.4 AWD Pro can accelerate from 0-60 mph in 5.7 seconds and has a driving range up to 249 miles.
The ID.4 AWD will be available in two trims: ID.4 AWD Pro and ID.4 AWD Pro S.
