Volkswagen will officially reveal the all-new VW Touareg next month in Beijing on March 23. We’re still about a month an a half away from the 2019 Touareg’s debut, but VW has released this teaser sketch of the new SUV.
The 2019 Touareg will continue as VW’s flagship SUV. Klaus Bischoff, Head of Volkswagen Design, and his team sought to give the new Touareg a more expressive design with an “unmistakable appearance that is strong in character.”
Inside the new Touareg will have one of the largest digital cockpits in its class, called the Innovision Cockpit. VW also notes that the third generation Touareg will have rear wheel steering.
The 2019 Touareg will be based on VW’s MLB Evo platform, which is also the basis for the Porsche Cayenne, Lamborghini Urus and Bentley Bentayga.
