Volkswagen has unveiled the 2018 VW Passat GT, which it is calling the “most aggressive looking Passat yet.” The 2018 Passat GT is a limited edition model that combines the VR6 engine with a lowered suspension and a slightly sportier exterior.
At the front, Passat GT gets LED headlights and LED Daytime Running Lights, while the sportier bumper has been borrowed from the Passat R-Line. The front fascia also gets a honeycomb grille, GT badge, and a red accent line. The Passat GT also gets a black roof, black mirror caps and black window and door trim, while the rear gets a black spoiler and blackened LED taillights. The rear fascia also gets black bumper trim and a double exhaust. Lastly the 2018 Passat GT rides on two-tone 19-inch “Tornado” wheels.
Inside, the Passat GT adds piano black center console and vent trim, carbon fiber optic décor, black headliner, and aluminum GT-badged sills. The seats are wrapped in black leatherette with Moonrock Gray inserts and contrast stitching.
Under the hood the Passat GT is powered by a 3.6-liter VR6 engine with 280 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque that’s mated to a six-speed DSG automatic transmission. The Passat GT is rated at 19 mpg city and 28 mpg highway.
