At the front the 2018 Golf gets new LED daytime running lights and a restyled bumper, while the rear also gets updated LED taillights and a new bumper. Other than that the only other way you’ll really know that you’re looking at a 2018 Golf will be the new alloy wheel designs.

Inside the 2018 Golf family will look more modern with new touchscreens that range in size from 6.5-inches to 8-inches.

2018 VW Golf

The standard Golf hatchback will be offered in S and SE trim levels and starts at $21,760. The S comes standard with 15-inch “Lyon” wheels, while the SE gets 16-inch “Toronto” wheels, full LED lights, a panoramic sunroof and fog lights. If you need more space, the 2018 Golf SportWagen starts at $22,535 and the more rugged Golf Alltrack starts at $26,845.

2018 VW Golf GTI

The 2018 GTI will be offered in S, SE, and Autobahn trim levels. The base GTI S starts at $27,265 and the best part is that all three trim levels now have 220 horsepower, 10 more than before. If you step up to the SE or Autobahn model you’ll also get the same brakes as the Golf R, plus forward collision warning and autonomous emergency braking.

The 2018 Golf R can be yours for $40,635 if you choose the six-speed manual or $41,735 if you choose the 7-speed dual-clutch transmission. The biggest change to the 2018 Golf R besides the updated front and rear fascias are the new 19-inch alloy wheels.
