Audi recently announced the battery-electric Audi A3 e-tron pilot program in the US, which is part of its plan to officially launch its electric-powered A3. The Audi A3 e-tron pilot program is going to allow Audi to identify challenges and opportunities with plug-in electric vehicles as more buyers become increasingly receptive to the new EV technology. The A3 e-tron pilot program will take place in the San Francisco, Los Angeles, Washington D.C., and Denver markets.
Another part of the global testing program of Audi’s e-tron electric vehicle technology recently saw Audi put A3 e-trons into the hands of a team of Audi of America employees. By giving the e-tron prototypes to Audi’s employees, Audi will be able to test the A3 e-tron in the real world. Audi has put together this first video, which is part of a series of videos “The A3 e-tron Pilot Project.”
Stay tuned as we get some time in an A3 e-tron prototype in a few weeks.
