In addition to unveiling the more adventure ready 2022 Tacoma Trail Edition, Toyota has also unveiled the updates to the off-road hungry 2022 Tacoma TRD Pro. The big news is that the Tacoma TRD Pro has a taller suspension lift, which is up 1.5 inches in the front and 0.5-inches in the rear.

The increased suspension lift improves the clearance thanks to its 36.4-degree approach angle, 24.7-degree departure angle, and its 26.6-degree breakover angle. The front lift also gets TRD upper control arms.

The exterior of the 2022 Tacoma TRD Pro also gets new black TRD wheels that are wrapped in Goodyear Territory all-terrain tires. A new debossed TRD logo has been added to the rear quarter panel and the TRD Pro badge that was on the front doors has been replaced by a black Tacoma badge.

There’s also a new exterior color, Electric Lime Metallic, but buyers can also choose Super White, Magnetic Gray Metallic or Midnight Black.

The only engine option continues to be the 3.5-liter V6 with 278 horsepower and 265 pound-feet of torque. The good news is that buyers can choose either a six-speed manual or six-speed automatic transmission.
