The 2019 Toyota Corolla hatchback finally added some excitement to the Corolla lineup, but we’ve been wondering when Toyota will release an all-new Corolla sedan. Now it’s being reported that the redesigned Corolla sedan will arrive for the 2020 model year.
Details about the 2020 Toyota Corolla sedan are scarce, but Cars Direct has received the early order guides for the revamped compact sedan. It’s expected that the 2020 Corolla sedan will switch to Toyota’s TNGA platform, just like the Corolla hatchback. There’s also a good chance that the new Corolla sedan will also get the same engine as the Corolla hatchback. The Corolla hatchback is powered by a 2.0L four-cylinder engine with 168 horsepower and 151 lb-ft. of torque.
The 2020 Corolla sedan will also arrive with the Toyota Safety Sense P suite of safety technologies.
According to the order guides, the 2020 Toyota Corolla sedan will arrive in early 2020.
