We already suspected this based on a recent trademark application, but now Toyota has confirmed that it is expanding the Highlander lineup with the introduction of the new Grand Highlander.

The Toyota Grand Highlander is going to debut on the eve of the 2023 Chicago Auto Show on February 8. Toyota has released a teaser of its new three-row SUV, but no other details have been provided.

Based on the name it’s pretty certain that the Grand Highlander will be a bigger three-row SUV, than the current Highlander. We can also see the “Hybrid Max” badge on the rear, which suggests that it will get the same 340-hp hybrid system as the Crown. The base engine will likely be the 265-hp turbocharged four-cylinder.
