Ford expands the Mach-E family with its first-even rally-inspired EV, aptly named the 2024 Ford Mustang Mach-E Rally. What started as an idea a year ago has since blossomed into a fully-fledged production vehicle.
The 2024 Ford Mustang Mach-E Rally will receive a tuned version of the Mustang Mach-E GT powertrain. Ford is targeting 480 horsepower and 650 lb.-ft. of torque from this two-motor layout, which will be paired with a battery featuring 91 kWh of usable capacity, targeting an EPA-estimated range of 250 miles. Other enhancements include a unique suspension that’s been raised 20 mm over the standard Mustang Mach-E GT, specially tuned springs, MagneRide shocks, and 385-mm front brake rotors featuring red-painted Brembo calipers.
Complimenting the 2024 Mustang Mach-E Rally mechanical enhancements is Ford’s first-ever RallySport Drive Mode, designed to allow more yaw for bigger slides, a linear throttle response for better control, and more aggressive damping for better handling in loose corners.
Proving it’s not all-go-and-no-show, the 2024 Mustang Mach-E Rally will feature 19-inch rally-style alloy wheels in gloss white, with 235/55 R19 Michelin CrossClimate2 tires providing more loose surface grip. The 2024 Mustang Mach-E Rally will also feature a Rally-specific front splitter, a black-painted steel roof, a special front facia housing built-in rally-inspired fog lights, and underside protective shielding. A unique recovery point is built into the front end to aid in rescuing any 2024 Mustang Mach-E drivers who find themselves in compromised circumstances.
Fittingly, the 2024 Mustang Mach-E Rally will feature plenty of distinctive paint options, including contrasting accents, a black-painted steel roof, and a set of standard racing stripes. Eye-catching colors are also on tap, like Grabber Blue, Shadow Black, Eruption Green, and Grabber Yellow. Buyers will have the option to up the ante with Star White or new Glacier Gray at an extra cost.
Interior enhancements echo the 2024 Mustang Mach-E Rally’s exterior with gloss white accents on the dash and lower steering wheel spokes, as well as contrast stitching on the doors. Ford-designed performance seats will also feature gloss white seatbacks and “Mach-E Rally” debossed into the seating surface.
The 2024 Mustang Mach-E Rally will also receive Ford’s latest hands-free highway driving technology, BlueCruise 1.3, featuring Lane Change Assist and In-Lane Repositioning for better performance on curves and narrow lanes.
Ford says the 2024 Mustang Mach-E Rally will be available to purchase in early 2024 with a targeted starting MSRP of around $65,000.
