Tesla has unveiled the details for its V3 supercharging network, which can support charging rates up to 250kW. That means that new network can add up to 75 miles of range in 5 minutes and charge at rates of up to 1,000 miles per hour.

Tesla also says that the V3 supercharging network can V3 will cut the amount of time customers spend charging by an average of 50 percent. It estimates that the typical charging time at a V3 Supercharger will drop to around 15 minutes.

In addition to the V3 Superchargers, Tesla has also introduced a new feature called On-Route Battery Warmup. The new feature will automatically heat the battery to the optimal temperature to charge when you navigate to a Supercharger station, reducing average charge times for owners by 25 percent.

Lastly Tesla is also unlocking 145 kW charge rates for its 12,000+ V2 Superchargers over the coming weeks.
