Back in 2014 Maserati unveiled the Alfieri concept , which previewed a new two-seater sports car for the brand and now we know when the production version will debut. Maserati has confirmed that it will finally reveal the production version of the Alfieri concept next year at the 2020 Geneva Motor Show.

Maserati Alfieri Concept

Maserati’s boss, Harald Wester confirmed the news to Autocar this week at the Geneva Motor Show. While we’ll finally get to see the GranTurismo replacement next year, buyers will have to wait until 2021 or 2022 to get one.

When it does arrive, the Maserati Alfieri will be offered with a choice of three electrified powertrains, including a fully electric version with three electric motors and 800V battery technology.

We don’t know yet how much the production version will differ from the concept, considering the fact that the concept will be six years old when the production version debuts. A convertible version will also eventually be added as a replacement for the GranCabrio.
