Elon Musk has announced that the first Tesla Model 3 Dual Motor Performance has rolled off the production line at its plant Fremont, California. A month ago Tesla started taking orders for the Dual Motor and Performance versions of the new Model 3, with production expected to kick off in July. Well it looks like Tesla beat that production estimate by a few weeks.

To prepare for production of the Model 3 Dual Motor and Performance versions, Tesla had to build an entirely new assembly line, which Elon Musk says only took 3 weeks with minimal resources.

The first Model 3 Dual Motor Performance pictured here features the new white interior and red brake calipers, which will only initially be available on the Performance version. The Model 3 Performance will have a range of 310 miles and be able to reach 60 mph in a quick 3.5 seconds. It starts at $78,000.

The Model 3 Dual Motor reaches 60 mph in 4.5 seconds and is priced at $5,000 over the price of the standard Model 3.
