Tesla has unveiled a new home battery called Powerwall. The battery stores energy generated from solar panels or when utility rates are low to power your home.

Tesla has unveiled a new home battery called Powerwall. The battery stores energy generated from solar panels or when utility rates are low to power your home. It also can act as a back up during power outages.
The wall mounted Powerwall is a rechargeable lithium-ion battery that measures 33.9-inches wide and 51.2 inches tall. It will come in two versions, a 7 kWh for daily cycle applications and a 10kWh version for backup applications. The 7 kWh version starts at $3,000, while the 10 kWh version is priced at $3,500. It also comes with a 10 year warranty.
