Tesla Model S 70D debuts with longer range and more power

Tesla has announced the introduction of the new Model S 70D, which replaces the base Model S 60. Compared to the outgoing Model S 60, the 70D has standard all-wheel-drive, a 240 mile range and 329 horsepower on tap.

Tesla has announced the introduction of the new Model S 70D, which replaces the base Model S 60. Compared to the outgoing Model S 60, the 70D has standard all-wheel-drive, a 240 mile range and 329 horsepower on tap.
With two electric motors generating a total 329 horsepower, the Model S 70D reaches 0-60 mph in 5.2 seconds, which is faster than the old Model S 60 that could do it in 5.9 seconds. It’s top speed is also slightly higher at 140 mph compared to 130 mph.

The Model S 70D comes standard with Autopilot hardware, a navigation system and blind-spot detection. The 70D also comes standard with Supercharging capability.

Pricing for the Model S 70D is slightly higher than the 60 model with a starting price at $75,000.
