Even with its early production issues with the Model 3, Tesla has achieved a new milestone. Today Tesla built the 100,000th Model 3, which is huge considering that production of the Model 3 only started just over a year ago.
Tesla is also building on average, 5,000 Model 3 vehicles a week. While Tesla has been able to ramp up Model 3 production, we’re still waiting for the version we were promised when it was revealed – the $35,000 Model 3.
Elon Musk recently announced that production of the cheaper Model 3 would kick off by early next year, which is good news for those buyers that have been waiting for it, but also bad news since the it won’t be eligible for the full federal tax credit.
