In a few months Scion is going to reveal two new additions to its lineup at the New York Auto Show, but one model that isn’t going to be sticking around is the slow-selling iQ. The tiny iQ has failed to find many buyers and now its days are numbered.
Sales of the iQ fell 50 percent last year to only 2,040 units. Doug Murtha, Scion’s brand chief confirmed the news this week at the Detroit Auto Show, the iQ won’t be “staying in the lineup too much longer.” Scion also recently ended production of the xD hatchback – leaving Scion with only four models in its lineup.

Over the next three years Scion plans to introduce three new models, with two of them coming later this year. The first model is the production version of the iM hatchback that we saw debut last year in LA and in April, Scion plans to reveal its first ever sedan.
