The Rivian R1T electric pickup truck is almost here, since the first production version has rolled off its production line in Normal, Illinois.

“After months of building pre-production vehicles, this morning our first customer vehicle drove off our production line in Normal!  Our team’s collective efforts have made this moment possible. Can’t wait to get these into the hands of our customers!” stated Rivian CEO RJ Scaringe on Twitter.

Now that production has finally kicked off, it’s only a matter of time before deliveries will start. The Rivian R1T has an EPA-estimated driving range of 314 miles, but a version with over 400 miles of range will arrive in January. A more affordable version is also planned with a 250 mile range.
