Chevy had planned to unveil several refreshed models this year, including the Chevy Bolt and Traverse, but the coronavirus has pushed back those plans until the 2022 model year. Chevy has now announced that the arrival of the refreshed Equinox is also being delayed until sometime in 2021, which means it too will arrive as a 2022 model.

2022 Chevrolet Equinox Premier

The 2022 Chevy Equinox will sport updated front and rear fascias. At the front there’s new grille, restyled headlights and a new bumper. At the rear the updates are smaller with the main update being new taillights.

2022 Chevrolet Equinox RS

The 2022 Equinox also gets a sportier RS trim level, which adds a gloss black grille, 19-inch Dark Android wheels and black badging. Inside the Equinox RS has a black interior with red stitching and an RS shift knob.

The Equinox will be available with either a 1.5- or 2.0-liter engine. The 1.5-liter is mated to a six-speed automatic, while the 2.0-liter engine gets a nine-speed automatic transmission.
