Following yesterday’s teaser photos, we now have the first official photos of the 2015 Mercedes-Benz CLS. The 2015 CLS is getting a small facelift with the biggest change being its new LED headlights that Mercedes calls “futuristic.”
The new LED headlights are called Multibeam LED and use a camera-based system that detects illuminated oncoming vehicles or vehicles ahead, to automatically adjust the 24 LEDs in a matrix light source electronically so that individual areas of the road are specifically masked in accordance with the particular situation. This means that oncoming drivers are never blinded by the CLS’s high beams. Overall its similar to Audi’s LED Matrix lighting system.

Other updates to the 2015 CLS include a new grille that is similar to the smaller CLA and a new more aggressive front bumper. A new nine-speed automatic transmission has been added to the range, but Mercedes-Benz hasn’t released all the specs for the U.S-spec CLS.
Inside an updated infotainment system is accessed through a new display screen on top of the dashboard.
The 2015 CLS is slated to arrive in the U.S. later this year.
