Ram unveiled the 2025 Ram 1500 Ramcharger plug-in hybrid truck last year, which was slated to arrive after the fully electric Ram 1500 REV, but due to a change in customer interest, Ram has changed its plans.
Ram had originally planned to launch the Ram 1500 REV in the first half of 2025, but now the Ramcharger will arrive during that time period, while the Ram 1500 REV will now arrive in 2026. Ram says that it moved up the launch date of the 1500 Ramcharger due to “overwhelming consumer interest.”
The 2025 Ram 1500 Ramcharger plug-in hybrid is powered by a 3.6-liter V6 that charges a 92-kWh battery pack. The system generates a combined 663 horsepower and 615 pound-feet of torque, which powers both the front and rear wheels. It has a range up to 690 miles and can accelerate from 0-60 mph in 4.4 seconds. It can also tow up to 14,000 pounds and has a maximum payload capacity of 2,625 pounds.
