The all-new third-generation Porsche Cayenne is debuting this week at the Frankfurt Motor Show. Following the release of the early details about the new Cayenne last month, Porsche has now unveiled the 2019 Porsche Cayenne Turbo, which is basically the 911 of SUVs.

The Porsche Cayenne Turbo is powered by a 4.0L biturbo V8 that generates 550 horsepower (30 more than before) and 568 lb-ft of torque. The V8 sends its power to all four wheels via a new 8-speed Tiptronic S transmission. All that power gives the new Cayenne Turbo a 0-62 mph time of only 4.1 seconds or 3.9 seconds with the Sport Chrono Package. It also reaches a top speed of 178 mph.

“The new lightweight chassis of the Cayenne Turbo combines the best of three worlds: the precision of a sports car, the comfort of a sedan and the adaptability of an off-road vehicle.”

Its new three-chamber air suspension features six selectable height levels, which are controlled via five new driving programs for road journeys and off-road journeys. Want even more performance? Then you can select optional rear-axle steering, the electric Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control roll stabilization that’s connected to a 48-volt vehicle electrical system and Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus.

The Cayenne Turbo stands out from the other Cayenne models with its an exclusive front fascia, LED headlights, 21-inch wheels and adaptive roof spoiler. The spoiler has the ability to optimize efficiency, increase downforce on the rear axle and even shorten braking distances when it’s in the airbrake position.

The new Cayenne Turbo will go on sale in Europe by the end of 2017, but buyers in the U.S. will have to wait until next year to get it as a 2019 model. The 2019 Porsche Cayenne Turbo will likely arrive around the same time as the rest of the 2019 Cayenne lineup in mid-2018.
