Porsche has confirmed plans to introduce a wagon version of the next-generation Panamera in the U.S.
Porsche has confirmed plans to introduce a wagon version of the next-generation Panamera in the U.S. within the next two model years. Often referred to as a shooting brake design in Europe, the Panamera wagon will borrow styling traits from the Sport Turismo concept car Porsche showed at the 2012 Paris Motor Show.
Klaus Zellmer CEO of Porsche Cars North America recently told Automotive News, “We are confident that this car will be well received here, despite the fact that this country doesn’t really like hatchbacks or wagons.”

According to Zellner, the Panamera Wagon is still about two years away and will follow the introduction of the next-generation Panamera sedan, which is expected to go on sale early next year. The new Panamera sedan is going to debut sometime later this year and we won’t have to wait too long to see the wagon version, since it is expected to go on sale in Europe some time next year.
