A few months ago a report surfaced that signaled the arrival of a Porsche Cayman T and now we have a bit more details. The Cayman T will be a stripped down version of the Cayman, just like the 911 T.
According to a new report from Auto Express, the Porsche Cayman T will be around 44 pounds lighter than the standard Cayman thanks to thinner glass, fabric door pulls and the deletion of the audio system. The Cayman T will also come standard with the Sport Chrono package and a sport exhaust.
It’s expected that the Cayman T will be powered by the same turbocharged 2.5L four-cylinder as the Cayman S and Cayman GTS models, while the Cayman T is expected to be slot in between both models. If you’re wondering if Porsche is planning a Boxster T, it’s reportedly not in the works.
Porsche still hasn’t confirmed when the Cayman T will arrive, but it is expected to debut for the 2019 model year.
