Polestar has announced some big updates to the 2022 Polestar 2 electric sedan. This includes the introduction of a new single motor version and an optional heat pump that will extend the EV’s range up to an additional 10 percent.

The Polestar 2 Single Motor brings the starting price of the Polestar 2 down to $45,900, which can drop as low as $34,900 after any federal, state, and utility incentives. The Single Motor version has a driving range up to 265 miles.

The Polestar 2 Dual Motor version is also now available for bespoke configuration. It starts at $49,900 and has a range up to 249 miles, which is 16 more miles than the 2021 model. The dual-motor Polestar 2 also can be ordered with a Performance Pack.

The newly available Plus Pack is available for either version and is priced at $4,000. It adds a mechanical heat pump that extends the range up to 10%, a panoramic glass roof, a Harman Kardon audio system and WeaveTech vegan upholstery.

The Pilot Pack is available for $3,200 and adds Adaptive Cruise Control, Pilot Assist, Blind Spot Information System, Cross Traffic Alert, a 360-degree surround view camera and parking sensors.

The Performance Pack is only available on the Polestar Dual Motor and lists for $5,000. It adds Öhlins suspension dampers, forged 20-inch alloy wheels, Brembo brakes, Continental sport tires, and signature ‘Swedish gold’ aesthetic details.
