Audi is going to reveal the second-generation R8 supercar at the Geneva Motor Show in March, according to Ulrich Hackenberg, Audi board member for technical development.
The new R8 and the all-electric R8 e-tron will ride on a new platform that is also the basis for the Lamborghini Huracan. An extensive amount of aluminum and carbon fiber will be used to keep the weight down and both V8 and V10 engines will be available. It’s being reported that a turbocharged V6 may also be added to the lineup as an entry-level engine. A plug-in hybrid version is also expected.
