Volkswagen has released two official design sketches of the next-generation 2017 Tiguan, which is going to debut this week at the Frankfurt Motor Show. We’ve been waiting a long time for the new Tiguan and from these sketches you can see that the new one is heavily influenced by VW’s previous crossover concepts.

The next-generation Tiguan will be based on VW’s MQB platform. It will be slightly longer than the current version, but it’s also expected to be around 170 pounds lighter.
