Honda has been trying to keep the all-new 2016 Civic under wraps until its official debut on September 16, but someone screwed up, since it was recently caught sitting outside on the street in Michigan. The guys over at CivicX have posted a few photos of the 2016 Civic that was spotted on the streets in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
From these three photos it’s clear that the new Civic is getting a dramatic redo. According to Honda, the 10th-generation Civic will receive the most ambitious remake in the model’s 43-year history. The most noticeable difference is the rear, with its sloped roofline and boomerang-shaped taillights.

The 2016 Civic will also be available with a new 1.5L turbocharged four-cylinder engine that will be mated to either a six-speed manual or optional CVT transmission. The new 1.5L is so frugal that Honda no longer needs to offer a hybrid version.
The 2016 Civic sedan is going to debut on September 16, but the Civic lineup will also include the Coupe and first-ever five-door Civic hatchback for the U.S. market. Si and Type-R versions are also confirmed for the U.S.
