Larger Cadillac Three-Row Crossover Approved and Will Arrive by 2016

If an SUV buyer wants to buy a Cadillac SUV they currently can only choose between the SRX crossover and the larger Escalade. Well that will soon change in 2016 when a new three-row crossover will slot in between the SRX and Escalade.

A larger Cadillac crossover has been rumored for a while, but now two GM employees have just confirmed to Car and Driver that the larger crossover has received the green light. The Cadillac crossover will be based on GM’s Lambda II platform, which is the second version of the platform that currently underpins the GMC Acadia, Buick Enclave and Chevy Traverse crossovers.

With four crossovers all sharing the same platform let’s hope that GM can differentiate them enough.
