The last ever BMW M3 Coupe has rolled off the line. In case you missed the news, BMW has officially changed the name of the former 3 Series coupe and convertible to the new 4 Series. This means that the next coupe will be dubbed the M4.
The first M3 was produced in 1986 and 27 years later, BMW has produced 40,000 units and the BMW M3 Sedan added almost 10,000 units to the total. Just under 16,000 units of the BMW M3 Convertible have been built to date. Although production of the M3 Coupe has ended, the BMW M3 Convertible will continue in production until September 2013.
