Honda has yet to reveal the 2019 Pilot, but sources have revealed some of the updates that we can expect to see in the not too distant future. The 2019 Honda Pilot is expected to get a mid-life refresh that will not only get a restyled exterior, but inside we can expect some tech upgrades from the three-row SUV.
According to VTEC.net, the 2019 Honda Pilot will come standard with the Honda Sensing safety suite, LED low beam headlights, 18-inch wheels and automatic high beams. Step up to the EX trim level and you’ll get blind spot indicators, an 8-way power driver’s seat, one-touch second row seat operation, LED fog lights, rear HVAC with rear controls, heated front seats, dual-zone automatic climate control, and Apple Carplay and Android Auto connectivity.
The 2019 Pilot EX-L adds leather seats, a moonroof, a power tailgate, 4-way power passenger seat, auto dimming rearview mirror, a memory function for the driver seat and door mirrors, second row sunshades and extra USB ports. The Pilot EX-L with Navigation and Rear Entertainment system adds a navigation system system and rear entertainment system with Blu-ray and streaming functionality.
The Pilot Touring models add 20-inch alloy wheels, a 9-speed automatic transmission, parking sensors, heated 2nd row seats, full LED headlights, paddle shifters, a handsfree power tailgate, and a 10 speaker premium audio system. The 2019 Pilot Touring is also reportedly getting a telematics system, but we don’t know the full details yet.
The 2019 Pilot Elite adds ventilated front seats, auto-dimming side mirrors, a heated steering wheel, rain sensing wipers, wireless phone charger, and power folding exterior door mirrors.
Honda has yet to announce the updates to the 2019 Pilot, so we still don’t fully know if there are any updates under the hood, so we’ll have to wait and see if the Pilot continues with its 280-hp 3.5L V6 and either a 6-speed or 9-speed automatic transmission. Honda is expected to introduce a new smaller version of the Pilot for 2019, which will offer only two rows of seats and possibly revive the Passport name.
