Jeep has unveiled the all-new Jeep 2017 Compass, which borrows many styling cues from its larger brothers, like the Cherokee and Grand Cherokee. The good news is that the all-new Compass effectively replaces the current Compass and Patriot models with a new SUV that will hopefully be much better than the current C-segment SUVs.

The new Compass is based on a stretched version of the Renegade’s platform. The Compass will be sold worldwide with 17 different powertrain combinations in more than 100 countries around the world. In the US it will likely be offered with either a 2.0L turbo four-cylinder or a naturally-aspirated 2.4L four-cylinder. Both engines will be mated to a nine-speed automatic transmission.
The new Jeep Compass is going to debut in November at the Los Angeles Auto Show before it goes on sale in the first quarter of 2017.
