reported that Lincoln is set to officially release a new compact model.
Back in 2009 Lincoln debuted the Lincoln C Concept, which was a small compact concept car that previewed a possible small Lincoln. Now three years later, it’s being reported that Lincoln is set to officially release a new compact model.
Lincoln has already confirmed plans to significantly revamp its lineup with seven new or refreshed models being released by 2014. The first new model is the all-new 2013 MKZ midsize sedan and Lincoln has refreshed the MKS, MKT and MKX models. Next up Lincoln is reportedly going to release a new compact model that will borrow its platform from the new Ford Focus and a small SUV based on the Escape.
According to NBC News we Lincoln could unveil the new Focus based model as early as this fall at the 2012 LA Auto Show.
