It’s already been reported that Mercedes-Benz is working on a rival to the BMW X6. The Mercedes-Benz crossover will feature coupe-like styling, but share its platform with the new M-Class.

According to the latest sources the crossover is expected to be dubbed the GLS and will be built at the automaker’s plant in Tuscaloosa, Alabama where the M, R and GL-Class models are produced.

Audi is also reportedly working on an X6 competitor, dubbed the Q6.
