The 2020 Mercedes-AMG GT has received several upgrades, but now to go with the additions, we have a new limited edition model, the AMG GT R Pro. As it name hints at, the Mercedes-AMG GT R Pro is the most track-ready version of the AMG GT lineup.

The Mercedes-AMG GT R Pro has received several upgrades to help it perform even better on the track. For example its new AMG coil-over suspension offers even more custom settings for the suspension, which can be adjusted via click system with an integrated adjustment dial on the damper. The compression rate can also be adjusted separately for high-speed and low-speed performance.

Other upgrades, include an adjustable torsion bar made out of carbon fiber for the front axle and Uniball spherical bearings for the upper wishbones, in addition to the lower wishbones of the rear axle. A carbon fiber shear panel in the underbody at the rear also stiffens the rear of the GT R Pro. Lastly the electronically controlled dynamic engine and transmission mounts were also retuned.

There are some upgrades to the outside as well, with a redesigned front fascia with flics at the sides and air slots in the front fenders to vent the wheel arches and reduce the front-axle lift. At the rear a clear-coated carbon-fiber aero element at the wheel arch almost meets the taillights. The rear spoiler also gets a spoiler lip to increase downforce at the rear axle.

The AMG GT R Pro also gets Carbon Packages I and II with front splitter, fins in the fenders, trim strips in the side sills, side mirrors, rear spoiler, and a diffuser.

The Mercedes-AMG GT R Pro still packs 577 horsepower and has a top speed of 198 mph.
