Audi may have recently introduced the new Q8 flagship crossover, but it is still planning to add more crossovers to its lineup. Next year Audi will release the new coupe-like Q4 crossover and now we’re hearing a bit more details about it.
Speaking to Autocar, Audi exterior design boss Andreas Mindt revealed that the Q4 will be “a bit more than a coupe version of the Q3, to my eyes a lot more.” The design of the Q4 was finalized last year and although we haven’t seen it yet, Mindt states that it will have at least one feature to help it stand out from the rest of the Audi lineup.
It’s expected that the Q4 will take some design inspiration from the TT Offroad concept that debuted in 2014. When it arrives it will rival the BMW X2 and Range Rover Evoque. The Q4 will also be based on the MQB platform, just like the Q3.
