Mercedes-Benz has unveiled ultimate version of the new CLA, the Mercedes-AMG CLA 45, which is powered by a 2.0L turbocharged four-cylinder with 382 horsepower and 354 lb-ft. of torque that’s mated to an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission.

That’s enough power to give it a 0-60 mph time of 4.0 seconds and an electronically-limited top speed of 155 mph. If you opt for the AMG Driver’s Package the top speed increases to 168 mph. All that power is sent to all four wheels and the system can not only vary the amount of power between the front and rear axles, but also the left and right rear wheels. A new Drift mode also makes “powersliding” possible.

On the outside the 2020 Mercedes-AMG CLA 45 gets the AMG-specific radiator grille with a wide lower contour and twelve vertical louvers, a unique hood with powerdomes and wider front fenders with flared wheel arches. At the side there are AMG side skirts, while the rear is topped off with a more aggressive bumper with two round twin tailpipes. The CLA 45 also rides on unique 10-spoke 19-inch wheels.

The 2020 Mercedes-AMG CLA 45 will arrive by the end of the year.
