It’s being reported that McLaren’s new “entry-level” sports car – the Sports Series is going to debut at the 2015 New York Auto Show in April.
It’s being reported that McLaren’s new “entry-level” sports car – the Sports Series is going to debut at the 2015 New York Auto Show in April.
The Sports Series will be the least expensive model in the McLaren lineup with a price tag starting around $200k. It’s styling will look similar to the other McLaren models and will also be powered by a twin-turbocharged 3.8L V8 with over 500 horsepower. The Sports Series will go head-to-head with models like the Porsche 911s and Mercedes AMG-GT.

Even though it’s being called the Sports Series now, the production version may get a different name, with one possible name being 550S. A track-only GT3 version will also be part of the mix.
