McLaren has revealed a new Track Pack for the 720S, which lowers its weight by 53 pounds thanks to the use of more carbon fiber and lighter wheels.

The new Track Pack is based on the 720S Performance. On the outside the hood air intakes, rear fender air intakes and door mirror casings are all now made of carbon fiber to reduce the 720’s weight. It also features engine bay ambient lighting and rides on special 10-spoke forged alloy wheels. Lastly a carbon fibre active rear spoiler and a sports exhaust have been added.

Open the door and inside you’ll find carbon fiber racing seats in either regular or touring size, carbon fiber gearshift paddles and a steering wheel trimmed in black Alcantara. A titanium bar has also been added behind the seats to support 6-point harnesses for both driver and passenger.

To help you get around the track even faster, the Track Pack also adds a new Track setting to the different drive modes. Thanks to its twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V8 engine, the 720S can reach 0-124 mph in only 7.8 seconds.

Lastly the Track Pack also lets drivers analyze their laps on the track with the McLaren Track Telemetry system. It uses three video cameras built into the car and advanced data-logging software. The system displays real time data, like lap times, sector splits and driver comparisons – as well as video footage to see where the driver could improve.

The Track Pack adds £28,360 to the price of a McLaren 720S.
