At the 2017 Frankfurt Motor Show, Land Rover unveiled the V8-powered Land Rover Discovery SVX, which was a more hardcore off-road hungry version of the Discovery. The Discovery SVX was supposed to enter production in 2018, but now Land Rover has killed those plans.
The Land Rover Discovery SVX was supposed to launch the brand’s new SVX sub-brand, but now Autocar has learned that Land Rover will eventually release SVX models, but not the Discovery SVX.
It’s not known yet which models will eventually get the SVX badge. The decision to cancel the Land Rover Discovery SVX follows another recent decision to cancel plans for the two-door Range Rover SV Coupe.
