Jeep has unveiled the updated 2022 Compass. What we see here isn’t too surprising, since Jeep originally showed off the updated Compass last year in China.

On the outside the biggest updates are new slimmer headlights and a restyled grille, but inside the updates are much bigger. The 2022 Compass gets an updated dashboard that looks more premium and modern. The dashboard now integrates a new 10.3-inch digital instrument cluster and an available 10.1-inch touchscreen, an 8.4-inch screen is standard. The infotainment system uses the latest Uconnect5 software. Lastly the infotainment system can now support wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

There’s also a new steering wheel that looks close to what you’ll find in the new Grand Wagoneer and Grand Cherokee. The Compass comes standard with automatic emergency braking, forward collision warning, lane departure warning, lane-keeping assist and a blind spot monitor.

Under the hood there’s only one engine available, a 2.4-liter four-cylinder with 177 horsepower and 172 pound-feet of torque. The front-wheel drive models get a six-speed automatic transmission, while the all-wheel drive models get a nine-speed.

The updated 2022 Jeep Compass will arrive this fall.
