Jaguar officially unveiled the 2015 F-Type Coupe this week and although the F-Type Coupe R has 550 horsepower, 55 more than the convertible, there are even hotter versions in the works. Jaguar design director Ian Callum confirmed in LA that more potent versions of the F-Type Coupe are in the works.
Callum hinted about the new versions to Autocar at the Los Angeles Auto Show. “Our obligation is to maximize the opportunity in the car in every direction,” he said. “It is clear that the platform is very capable. Whatever the powertrain, the body will work with it.”
It’s expected that those new versions will be RS anf RS GT versions of the F-Type Coupe. It’s also been reported that the RS version could have somewhere around 700 horsepower, which would enable to the F-Type Coupe to reach speeds over 200 mph.
