Chevy Introduces the 2014 Sonic RS and Dusk Models

Chevy has unveiled two new versions of the Chevy Sonic sedan, the 2014 Sonic RS and Sonic Dusk.

Chevy has unveiled two new versions of the Chevy Sonic sedan, the 2014 Sonic RS and Sonic Dusk. The Sonic RS sedan joins is powered by the same 138-hp turbo engine as the Sonic RS hatchback, while the Sonic Dusk sedan ups the Sonic’s style with a ground effects package and new alloy wheels.

The 2014 Sonic RS sedan joins the RS hatchback in the lineup and is powered by the Ecotec 1.4L turbo engine rated at 138 horsepower and 148 lb-ft. of torque. It also gets unique transmission gearing in the six-speed manual, or a 3.53 final drive ratio for automatic-equipped models, along with a sport-tuned suspension and lowered ride height.

The Sonic RS stands out with a sportier face with a deep air dam design and vertical intakes at the edges of the fascia reinforce a wide, low proportion and house the fog lamps. Inside the Sonic RS gets leather seats, aluminum pedals and a flat bottom steering wheel. The 2014 Sonic RS sedan starts at $20,530.

The Sonic Dusk sedan, first shown as a concept at the 2011 SEMA Show features a ground effects package, rear spoiler, 18-inch aluminum wheels with a Midnight Silver matte finish and four-wheel disc brakes. The Sonic Dusk comes exclusively in Ashen Grey Metallic, with a distinctive matte appearance on the upper and lower grilles, door handle inserts and rear license plate trim. Inside it has Jet Black leather-trimmed seats with sueded accents and Mojave tan inserts.

The 2014 Sonic Dusk is powered by a 138-hp 1.4L turbocharged engine and starts at $20,945.
