The Q30 is not built on an existing Nissan/ Infiniti platform and instead borrows the MFA platform from Mercedes-Benz that is used for the A-, CLA- and GLA-Class models. Infiniti hasn’t confirmed what will power the Q30, but it is expected to get a range of four-cylinder gasoline and diesel engines that will be sourced from Renault-Nissan and Mercedes-Benz.

A QX30 crossover is also in the works.
