Hyundai unveiled the all-new 2015 Genesis sedan at the Detroit Auto Show in January, which is the second-generation of the luxury sedan that forever changed Hyundai’s image. Later this year the second generation of the Equus luxury sedan is also going to arrive and now Hyundai’s new CEO Dave Zuchowski has hinted that a third luxury car could be added to the lineup.
“That’s one of the conversations,” Zuchowski stated to Automotive News. “I think it’s fair to say that within a couple of years there may be another premium” nameplate. “That’s a space where we think there’s some opportunity.”

It’s been rumored that Hyundai is working on a new smaller luxury sedan that would compete with the BMW 3 Series, but Hyundai hasn’t confirmed those rumors.

Zuchowski also hinted that Hyundai is looking at a new smaller subcompact crossover that would compete with the Nissan Juke, Kia Soul and the upcoming Honda Fit-based crossover.
