The 2017 SEMA Show is almost here and this year Hyundai teamed up with Bisimoto Engineering to create a unique Ioniq called the HyperEconiq Ioniq concept. The concept goes beyond the production version with several updates to increase its efficiency to over 80 mpg combined.

Some of the performance upgrades include: a Bisimoto pulse-chamber exhaust system, Racepak OBD-monitoring electronics with interactive OBD cluster, low-rolling resistance high-silica tires, Buddy Club aluminum brake calipers, NGK spark plugs and 19-inch carbon fiber wheels.. The exterior also gets a new Aero kit with a fron splitter, TA wing, side splitters and rear wheel covers. A coilover suspension helps minimize ground clearance. Inside there are Recaro Pole Position racing seats.

“The HyperEconiq Ioniq takes the Ioniq where we always knew it could go, without sacrificing drivability,” said Bisi Ezerioha, president, Bisimoto Engineering. “Leveraging the outstanding Ioniq electrified platform and powertrain, we’ve focused on a variety of technical elements to bring efficiency, aero and design to the highest level.”
