Honda has announced that the 2022 Honda Civic hatchback is now on sale with a starting price at $23,915, including destination.
The Civic hatchback will be available in four trim levels: LX, Sport, EX-L and Sport Touring. The LX and Sport models are powered by a 158-hp 2.0-liter four-cylinder, while the EX-L and Sport Touring get a turbocharged 1.5-liter four-cylinder with 180 horsepower and 177 pound-feet of torque. The standard transmission is a CVT, but the Sport and Sport Touring models can be equipped with a six-speed manual transmission.
The most fuel efficient version is the EX-L, which is rated at 31 mpg city, 39 mpg highway and 35 mpg combined. The LX is rated at 30/38/33 mpg.
The 2022 Civic hatchback comes standard with the Honda Sensing suite of driver assistance technologies, a 7-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, LED headlights and a partial digital instrument cluster.
The Civic hatchback Sport starts at $25,115 and adds Gloss Back Berlina 18-inch wheels, black exterior accents, a chrome exhaust finisher, 8-speaker audio system and unique seats. The Civic EX-L starts at $27,615 and adds the more powerful engine, leather seats, a blind spot monitor, a moonroof, dual-zone automatic climate control and heated front seats. The Civic Sport Touring starts at $30,415 and adds LED fog lights, unique 18-inch wheels, front and rear parking sensors, low speed braking control, rear cross-traffic alert, a 10.2-inch digital gauge cluster and a 9-inch touchscreen.
