Honda has announced the pricing for the updated 2019 Honda Civic sedan and coupe. The cheapest model is the 2019 Civic LX sedan, which starts at $20,345, while the LX coupe starts at $21,545, with the destination fees included.
The updated 2019 Civic sedan and coupe get some small exterior updates, a new audio system with a volume knob and the Honda Sensing safety suite is now standard. The 2019 Civic sedan and coupe also get a new Sport trim level, which joins the LX, EX, EX-L and Touring trim levels.
The 2019 Civic sedan and coupe Sport models are powered by a 2.0L four-cylinder engine that’s mated to a 6-speed manual transmission or CVT transmission. You’ll probably be disappointed to hear that the Sport versions of the sedan and coupe only get the naturally-aspirated 2.0L four-cylinder that generates 158 horsepower and 138 lb-ft. of torque, compared to the Civic Sport hatchback, which gets the more fun turbocharged 1.5L. The Sport trim levels adds fog lights with gloss black trim, 18-inch wheels, a black-painted decklid spoiler, Sport badging and a sport muffler. Inside, Civic coupe and sedan Sport models get red gauges, a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shifter, paddle shifters, aluminum sport pedals, unique seats, and an 8-speaker audio system.
The 2019 Civic sedan Sport starts at $22,045, while the coupe Sport starts at $22,345.
All 2019 Civic models now also come standard with an electronic parking brake with an automatic Brake Hold feature and a 7-inch digital TFT instrument cluster. The 2019 Civic EX also gets dual zone climate control, an 8-way power adjustable driver’s seat, and an updated audio system. The top spec Civic Touring model gets new 18-inch alloy wheels, paddle shifters and sport pedals.
The 2019 Honda Civic Sedan and Coupe LX and Sport trims are powered by a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder with 158 horsepower and 138 lb.-ft. of torque. The Civic EX, EX-L and Touring trims are powered by a 1.5-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder with 174 horsepower and 162 lb.-ft. of torque that’s mated to a CVT.
Honda has yet to reveal the 2019 Civic Si, Civic hatchback or Civic Type R models.
