We’re halfway through the 2018 model year, but Honda has decided to raise the price of the 2018 Honda Civic Type R. According to Cars Direct, the price of the 2018 Civic Type R went up $600 this month to $35,595, including destination.
There aren’t any updates to the 2018 Civic Type R and this isn’t the first time Honda has raised the price of the Civic Type R, since the 2018 model got a $215 price increase over the 2017 model. Either way, the Civic Type R is one of the best hot hatch bargains on the market, since its $5,000 cheaper than its closest rival the Golf R (sorry the Focus RS is now dead).
The 2018 Civic Type R only comes in the Touring trim level, which means that it comes standard with 20-inch wheels, Brembo brakes, a navigation system and the 306-hp turbocharged four-cylinder engine. There have been rumors that Honda is planning a cheaper version of the Civic Type R, but Honda has yet to confirm the reports.
