Honda and Acura have announced some updates to their certified used vehicles, which expands the availability to any vehicle that is up to 10 years old. The two CPO programs are called “HondaTrue Used” and Acura Precision Used.
There are three tiers of the Honda CPO program: HondaTrue Certified+, HondaTrue Certified, and HondaTrue Used. The top tier includes a 7 year/ 100,000 mile powertrain warranty and 5 year/ 86,000 mile non-powertrain warranty. The HondaTrue Used tier covers older vehicles with 100 day/ 5,000 mile warranty.
The Acura CPO program has two tiers: Acura Precision Certified for vehicles up to six years old and Acura Precision Used for vehicles up to 10 years old. The “Certified” tier includes a 7 year/ 100,000 mile powertrain warranty and 2 year/ 100,000 mile non-powertrain warranty. The “Used” tier covers older Acura models for 6 months/ 7,500 miles.
